S3912, ESC 3255 (1744), D- (6+D). Victoria 1883 6d with the die pair unknown to Davies for this year, though is now recorded in Spink as small reverse legend (EF-150, Unc-400). The cross on top of the crown is weak and touches the left side of a tooth and has a narrow reverse legend. ex Croydon Coin Auction 186, 16/3/2004, lot 118. Rare.
Attractively toned with minimal wear. There is a small reverse hairline.
