A Cripplegate Institute achievement medal awarded to J A Benn for class work in 1927-8. The Institute was a library and educational foundation charity which funded the improvement and recognition a child's progress in various areas. Founded in London in 1896, it closed in 1973. Comes with the original case which is in reasonable condition externally and good internally. Consigned by the descendants of the recipient. Struck in bronzed copper, 50mm diameter and weighs 63g.
