NAC sale 160 of the New Forest Hoard of Tudor Gold and other properties held in Zurich on 5/11/2025, in association with David Guest Numismatics. 125 lots, all illustrated. Comprising 69 gold coins and 1 silver coin, the hoard was found by a couple digging a hole for a fence post in their garden. 60 angels were present along with a single noble, 4 ryals, 4 crowns and a single Henry VIII groat struck under Thomas Wolsey. The remaining 55 lots are mostly British, Russian and a few US gold. Fascinating, and important as one of the very few Tudor hoards to be fully documented.
Clean.
