Henry VIII Halfgroat, Archbishop Warham, Canterbury

S2343, N1802. Henry VIII halfgroat of Canterbury struck under Archbishop Warham. mm. Warham's Uncertain Mark. Weight 1.23g. The obverse is unambiguously a square backed C over a Pomegranate (which is a 1st coinage mark). It is possible that other 1st coinage marks such as Lis or LCF are also overmarked, leading to the uncertainty of its exact form from die to die. Ex DNW 107, lot 186, 20/3/2013. With ticket.

Toned with a couple tiny marks in front of the face.

Grade: aVF
