S3068, N2566, Besly - (K20 variant). Charles I undated halfcrown with Briot horseman and an unrecorded reverse die. The die is similar to Besly rev. 20 but the garnishing now points to N instead of G and the S at 6 o'clock is now right of the centre vertical line instead of left, with the rest of the legend similarly rotated anti-clockwise. Weight 14.14g and presumably rare, as the only other example I am aware of was in the Magnus Collection (Spink 2012).
Struck on an irregular flan, flat in parts, but the relevant detail not double struck and unambiguous.
